Mentoring and coaching that starts with your strengths

We support young people, parents and community members across Melbourne to get to the root of their challenges and build the resilience to move forward. Culturally appropriate support, in person and online.

Starting from strengths and core values

We help people uncover the root causes of their challenges and support them through a meaningful healing journey.

Using a capabilities-based approach, we help participants tap into their own strengths and potential, work on what sits underneath, and move toward their personal goals with confidence.

  • Get to the root cause

We go back to basics. Understanding the underlying issue helps people reconnect with their core values and shift their perspective.

  • Make room for emotions

We encourage people to feel and process their emotions rather than push them down.

  • Build on strengths

Everyone has strengths. We help participants find theirs and use them to meet life's difficulties with confidence.

  • Draw on your village

Family, friends and community are resources already within reach. We help people recognise them and lean on them.

More about our purpose
It takes a village Rings around a person. At the centre is you, then family, friends, community, and the services and systems around them. Services and systemsCommunityFriendsFamilyYou
It takes a village. We start at the core, with your strengths and values, then draw on the people and services around you.

Experience across the systems that shape people's lives

Our services centre on the needs of participants and their families. We bring experience from right across the community sector, so we understand why dignity matters and why support should start from each person's strengths.

We take great pride in delivering culturally appropriate services, tailored to people from all walks of life, so everyone we work with gets inclusive and respectful support.

Tsion, founder

Meet Tsion, our founder

Tsion's work in the community began after the birth of her first child, with a wish for him to grow up connected to his culture and identity. A small gathering of local youth grew into a community initiative, and then a not-for-profit supporting young people and families in the African community.

Having grown up in Australia, she knows first-hand what it's like to navigate systems that don't work equally for everyone.

How to get started

  1. Send an enquiry

Tell us who the support is for and what's going on. A parent, carer or worker can enquire for someone else.

  2. Talk it through

We listen first, to understand what matters to you, what you'd like to change and what's already working.

  3. Plan together

You help shape the plan and make your own decisions, with support built on your strengths and the people around you.

Start with a conversation

Tell us who the support is for and what you'd like to change. We'll get back to you to talk it through.
