Shifting perspectives, starting from strengths and core values
Coreshift Mentoring and Coaching Services supports young people, families and community members to understand what's holding them back and to move forward on their own terms.
Our purpose
Our aim is to help participants uncover the root causes of their challenges and support them through a meaningful healing journey. We focus on nurturing emotional awareness, encouraging participants to feel and process their emotions rather than suppress them.
By building inner strength and resilience, we equip people to navigate life's difficulties with confidence. Using a capabilities-based approach, we help participants tap into their unique strengths and potential, address underlying issues and move toward their personal goals.
Our objectives
A safe, welcoming community
Where every person feels confident to embrace their true self and celebrate their unique identity.
Strength from what's within reach
Helping participants recognise and draw on the resources already around them, such as family, friends and community.
A deeper understanding of mental strength
Providing tools that support mental wellbeing and help people overcome mental health challenges.
Resilience for life's challenges
Exploring the root causes of people's struggles and building the resilience to face them with courage and clarity.
Why choose us
Our services centre on the needs of participants and their families. With extensive experience across the community sector, including youth services, the justice system, immigration, local government, family services and disability support, we understand the importance of preserving dignity and focusing on individual strengths.
We believe in the power of community. It takes a village, and we are only as strong as the people around us. What sets us apart is our commitment to going back to basics and addressing the root cause. By identifying the underlying issues, we can better understand our core values, shift our perspectives and build the resilience needed to navigate life's challenges.
We also take great pride in delivering culturally appropriate services tailored to people from all walks of life, so that everyone we work with receives inclusive and respectful support.

Tsion
15+
years in the community sector, at work and as a volunteer
100+
participants in the youth initiative she started
Tsion is the founder of Coreshift Mentoring and Coaching Services, bringing more than 15 years of experience and dedication to the community sector through both professional work and volunteering. Her journey began after the birth of her first child, driven by a deep desire to make sure he grew up connected to his culture and identity.
What began as a small gathering of local youth grew into a vibrant community initiative with more than 100 participants. From this foundation, Tsion established a not-for-profit organisation supporting young people and families in the African community. She has coordinated after-school homework clubs, delivered culturally appropriate school holiday programs and encouraged young people to connect and widen their social circles.
Tsion's strength lies in her blend of professional expertise and lived experience. Having grown up in Australia, she understands first-hand the challenges of navigating systems that don't work equitably for everyone. Her commitment to systemic change has seen her take part in advisory groups and consultations with local government, advocating for inclusive, culturally sensitive policies that genuinely support diverse communities.
Over the past decade, Tsion has gained extensive experience across immigration, the legal system, disability services, employment services and youth support. This broad knowledge lets her guide participants through complex service systems, so they receive the support they need for meaningful, lasting outcomes.
Tsion is deeply committed to holistic, inclusive services that restore dignity and help people overcome life's challenges. Her guiding belief is simple: it takes a village, and she is ready to be part of yours.
